I have a slight addiction with ordering and creating new prints to hang up all over my home. I think it is a good thing I don’t have more space and more money to spend on them, because I would own far too many :)
So instead of buying these up, I made a roundup of some of my favorite prints I’ve seen lately to share with DLD readers. These are all a great way to add some fun, positivity, and design into your homes, while supporting independent artists. Hooray!
The Details: (all prints found on Etsy) 1. // 2.// 3.// 4.// 5.// 6.// 7.// 8.//
I have such a crush on these baby shower invitations, it’s not even fair. They come as digital downloads you can purchase on Etsy, and I love that the talented designer, Kelli Murray, lives in San Diego – just like me!
The invitations also come with a registry card, mini diaper cards, and a game card. Love!!
Voluspa crafts artisanal candles for a candle connoisseur, and lucky for all you candle-loving ladies out there Gilt is having an AMAZING SALE on Voluspa candles and diffusers. These candles are some of my favorites, and are truly luxury candles.
Plus, how beautiful would they look in your homes? So if you love to deck out your home in candles that are both beautiful decor and smell amazing, this sale is not to be missed. Head over to Gilt before tomorrow evening, and snag one (or two) up before they are all gone.
And on another super fun note, I got engaged over the weekend!! It feels so good to be hanging out on Cloud 9 :)
PS If you want a Gilt invite and to get in on all the gilt shopping fun, leave a comment with your email address and I’ll happily send one your way!
H A P P Y M O N D A Y!!
I am head over heels with all the amazing details and portraits from this birthday party.
Avery and her family are so lucky to have the party and their planning documented in these gorgeous photos. Cassandra Eldrigde is one talented photographer! Chicago and Florida are lucky to have her :)
Thanks again Cassandra for the photos. In case you missed the first half of Avery’s DIY First Birthday with all the darling details, be sure and check it out when you have a chance. And take a look around Cassandra’s website, blog, and etsy store – this lady is AMAZING!
To start your Monday Morning off, here is an adorable DIY First Birthday Party photographed by Cassandra Elridge Photography. There were so many great, inspiring images from this party, it is going to be split up into two posts. This one is the first one with all the great, but very achievable details. From a homemade cupcake bar and the chocolate dipped pretzels to the lemonade table and the darling ‘Avery’ banner. On Wednesday, the second post will be up with plenty of heart-warming portraits of Avery, her parents, and some of her little friends.
I love the idea of personalizing the Hershey’s kisses, so clever!
Here’s what Cassandra had to say about the celebration;
It was one of days where nothing could have taken the smile from my face. From the moment that I arrived at Lisa & Cal’s home in St. Charles for Avery’s birthday party, I knew this was one of those shoots that was going to remind me over and over again, that I am so blessed for this to be my career. Lisa created the perfect bird-theme for her sweet little girl, and she didn’t miss a single mark. From personalized cupcakes, to homemade polka-dot chocolate covered pretzel rods, and so many special things in between, the details of this event were a photographer’s dream. But even better then all of those delicious details? The birthday girl, Avery, was painfully adorable in her pink tutu ;)
Thank you again Cassandra for sending this birthday party our way! We can’t wait to share the rest of the photos with you all on Wednesday.
What was your favorite detail from the party? If I had to pick one, I’d say the personalized kisses idea. It seems like a simple way to really up the cute and personalized factor at any sort of celebration party. Love it!
See you Wednesday,

These are the sweetest little photos from a shoot for European Girls’ Designer, Little Miss Y.
I love these too much to keep them to myself, so I just had to share them with you. Happy Wednesday everyone!
Books, music sheets, sweaters, lounging in daybeds in a field of flowers… Can a baby get any more sophisticated? Don’t think so. This little lady Lyla was photographed by Kym of Kym Vitar Photography in Los Angeles. I’m not sure if it is possible for me to love a baby photography session anymore than I love this one!
I love these next images with the music sheets. So beautiful.
And that smile…
Thank you so much Kym for sending this adorable session. And if you want to see more images from Lyla’s shoot and read a cute little story about her birth check out the blogpost here.
Hope this session brightens up your Monday morning.
Adorable vintage threads for stylish tots are all over Etsy, and I love it! The grandpa style striped cardigan in the top row is so cute it kind of breaks my heart a little. How can you not want a little man and lady when you see baby-fever-inducing clothes for the babes like this? Amazing.
Not only does vintage shopping/thrifting lead to cute, unique finds… but it is eco-friendly too!
All pictured vintage clothes for the kiddos come from this lovely etsy shop, miskabelly.
Can it get any more cute? And what do you think about thrifting for baby clothes (I know a few people that are just entirely against vintage shopping in general, I just don’t get it :) )?
Hope you all have a great, great weekend – See you next week
How cute is this photo with the birdcage?
Today I want to share with you this lovely and romantic maternity session from Kristy of Volatile Photography. The expecting couple’s love and excitement really shines through in these images, which is one of my favorite elements about maternity photography. It’s a beautiful connection to see, and now they have those memories in photographs that will last forever!
Kristy captured Andrea and Scott’s session in Petaluma, CA before they welcomed their little baby girl, Riley. Congrats Andrea and Scott, and thanks Kristi for sending this our way!
You can see more of Kristi’s beautiful work here, and follow her on twitter here
Happy Wednesday everyone!
