I am just loving today’s darling, Charlotte, who was photographed by A Bit of Joy Photography. Who said tulle is just for weddings? Not Charlotte!
From Christine, Charlottes mother: Knowing that I would be exhausted and recovering from a C-Section, because my baby was breech, I choose to hire my good friend and photographer, Amber with “A Bit of Joy Photography”, to do newborn photos of my baby girl instead of trying to do them myself. I am a Graphic Designer and have a background in photography, but it just felt like something I wanted to treat myself to – letting someone else do this for me. I could not be happier with my decision, not only are these photos absolutely beautiful, I was a mess that day! My house was trashed from laying around all week unable to clean it up for the photographer, but she knew just where to set up that you couldn’t even tell. It was the first day I put makeup on and did my hair since she was born, and it felt great to look pretty again. But, I didn’t even get a chance to start getting ready until Amber got there, so I am pretty sure that there is no way I would have pulled this off on my own! I am so happy we have these early days captured like this because with all the pain of recovery, the sleepless nights, and learning our new role as parents, it is hard to really sit back and soak up how precious she is as a newborn! I will always treasure our baby’s first photoshoot and our first family photos.
Such a little sweetheart! All the best to you and your family with your bundle of joy :)
From Amber Stephens, photographer: Little baby Charlotte was 7 days old when we did her newborn shoot. I always recommend that families do newborn shoots within the first 7-10 days. She is quite the little sleeper so far, but she was wide eyed and ready when I got there. About half way through the shoot, she fell asleep so we could pose her a little more. It is funny how even when they are born babies have such different dispositions and little personalities. Baby Charlotte is very snuggly and laid back. She did not cry once during our two hour shoot. I know that her dad Brian was originally hoping for a boy, but it is so great to see how much he loves her. She already has her daddy wrapped around her finger. It is so great to see the love and amazement in both of their eyes when they look at their baby girl.
